Marketing Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Chief Design Officer, this role is designed to impact change and will be responsible to elevate strategic marketing of core and ecommerce initiatives within our business servicing the largest consumer brands in the world. Our vision is to win market share and drive sustainable growth in this rapidly changing and intensely competitive business to business (B2B) environment. The Director of Marketing will plan and oversee all marketing activities and manage Central’s ecommerce platform for a variety of new product introductions. They will work closely with their own Communications team and collaborate with the Insights, Category Management and Commercialization Strategy teams within the business to ensure all initiatives are planned and executed across all external and internal channels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Marketing Direction

A proven leader of a team who can work closely with all stakeholders within the business from opportunity generation, creative design and operations to impact growth with sound Market insights.

Work closely with internal teams to build strategies and plans across all media channels to promote the thought leadership, product and services from the Central Group and its affiliated companies.

Work collaboratively with the new business team; assist in identifying new market verticals and opportunities for new innovations for both the core and ecommerce businesses.

Review all communication content within the business, ensuring relevance with current market demands.

Highly analytical with the ability to review, analyze and comprehend data to create data driven marketing initiatives.
Ecommerce

Demonstrate a proven track record in the planning, and implementation of a B2B ecommerce retail platform(s) with a robust product offering.

Lead the ongoing maintenance of marketing and communication strategies, as it relates to the ecommerce efforts.

Maintain reporting on the marketing efforts related to the ecommerce platforms to ensure defined KPI’s are met.

Work with internal teams to plan and execute the product offerings bound for the ecommerce platforms.

REQUIREMENTS:

A full understanding of B2B marketing.
-
Ability to create forward looking, aligned plans and lead successful implementation.

Familiarity with Ecommerce platforms such as Magento or Shopify.

Strong knowledge and usage history with several social media channels such as LinkedIn.
REPORTING:
-
Weekly activities reported to the Chief Design Office

Creation of a summary for inclusion in the monthly executive meeting covering all marketing activities pertaining to the core as well as the ecommerce businesses.
ACADEMIC AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
-
MBA or Degree in Marketing, or equivalent experience

Experience working as a marketer within a business to business environment

Ecommerce implementation and maintenance a must.

Proven and demonstrated results in a similar role

8-10 years’ experience as a Senior Marketer or Director of Marketing
-
Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or, Shopper Marketing related experience

Relationship and communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong, organizational, time management and analytical skills

Financially savvy with understanding of overall product and service offering of employer

Willing and able to take the initiative in uncovering and implementing business building ideas

Positive team player who can work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
